Our founding partner, Michael Hayes, wrote his first generative AI program as a computer science undergrad many years ago.*
After a short stint as a nuclear submarine officer, he held a variety of leadership roles in enterprise software companies and founded his first startup in 2011. Michael's AI experience includes:
Director of AI at Grant Thornton, a 14,000-person global professional services firm
CEO of FeatureX, a computer vision AI startup
Managing Director of global AI Engagement at Ernst & Young
CEO of an AI-powered geospatial analytics startup inside British Telecom
COO and Head of AI Strategy of an AI-powered home robotics company
Graduate of 6-week "Artificial Intelligence: Implications for Business Strategy" certificate course at the MIT Sloan School of Management
Michael serves as an advisor at c10 Labs, an MIT-spinout accelerator for AI-first startups. He is also a mentor for the "AI Global Ventures" class at MIT's Media Lab.
Michael has degrees from the University of Notre Dame (BS), MIT (MS), and Tufts University (MA).
*The program was written in LISP and generated really bad Haiku poetry.
